Maze
A classic 3D dungeon crawler turns into a journey to your psyche when your actions are reflected in what you hear and see. This is rather a generative music experience with gameplay than a video game with music. Player's each action updates the game state, which affects the music generated in real-time.
I started building this in 2023. I wanted to see if I could replicate the classic pseudo 3d dungeon in Shin Megami Tensei and the likes, as a weekend activity.
It gradually became a vehicle to experience the ever-changing generative music produced by my generative music library, mgnr. I have been intermittently working on this since then.
